The 40-kilometre distance was launched by Yang Berhormat, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs who also took part in the expedition.
The event was also participated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, Minister of Health AND Yang Berhormat, Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, member of the Legislative Council.
The cycling expedition organised by Temburong District Office in collaboration with Temburong Paddlers glorified the Bangarku Ceria programme held in Bangar Town in Temburong yesterday. The event was aimed to support the initiatives of Ministry of Home Affairs to attract more local and foreign visitors to visit the district. Such activity can also instil awareness and the involvement of the public especially youth.
The expedition started and ended at the premises of Bangar Town Bumiputera Complex. It was divided into 2 sections, the 40km and 10km.
